Tips for flashcards that work
- Keep one idea per card. Short questions are easier to remember.
- Ask students to say the answer out loud before flipping.
- Sort cards into Got it and Still learning piles, then review the second pile.
- Short, spaced reviews over several days beat one long session.
- Have students make their own cards. Writing them is part of learning.
- Print on cardstock and keep each deck in a zip bag for centers.

How to Make Printable Flashcards
- Add your cards. Type a question on the left and the answer on the right, or click Paste a list and paste lines like 7 × 8 | 56. You can also paste two columns from a spreadsheet.
- Choose a print layout. Double-sided puts answers on the back of each card. Fold-over works on any printer: cut each strip and fold it in half.
- Pick a size and color theme. Choose Large, Medium, or Small cards, one of 7 color themes, and US Letter or A4 paper.
- Print or study. Click Print Cards, or open Study Mode for on-screen flip cards.

How do I print double-sided flashcards?
Choose Double-sided, click Print Cards, and select Print on both sides with Flip on long edge. Turn off Headers and footers, then cut along the dashed lines. If your printer prints only one side, choose Fold-over instead.
Can students use it on their own devices?
Yes. Study Mode works on Chromebooks, tablets, and phones, and the keyboard shortcuts make review fast: Space flips the card, 1 marks it as known, and 2 marks it as still learning.
